You would be selecting to not include the "Remix" genre (which is slightly different from thinking of it as excluding the "Remix" genre). If Remix was the only genre on a song, then it wouldn't ever appear in a Random Song mix. Better though, is to use the Erland's third-party plugins, which offers better functionality. Have a look at http://erland.homeip.net/download/do/viewapplication?name=slimserver-dynamicplaylist This would allow you to include genres and exclude genres, and a whole host of other opportunities.
