Thanks for the iTunes bug heads up. I kind of need to use iTunes to manage the music on the various iPods we have dotted around the house, car, etc. so I'm more or less at the mercy of their tags and software in order to have a familiar interface to manage the selection of music that ends up on each.
I'm happy to add this code if it's going to help with iTunes integration but it does raise two questions: 1. It fixing this problem for iTunes going to break anything outside of iTunes, if I want to use the MP3 files for something else? 2. Is there any sign of Apple fixing the bug? A Google for this didn't yield much information.
