There are some older discs (late eighties I think) that were made with inferior material and will be unusable now. Most often, they have a goldish color. I have three of them in my collection. Nothing you can do about it. They still play on some CD players, but with a lot of 'noise'; other players just reject them. Unfortunately, the time you could exchange them for free has expired.
