Fair point: if you want your vinyl readily accessible via
Squeezeboxes/portable players, and if you have no money to buy the CDs,
then digitizing the LPs is an option. Depends on how much you value your
time.

It looks like your LP transfer process is significantly simpler than
mine. If it only takes you 20 minutes per album (presumably on top of
the recording time itself), then I take it that you don't do any sort
of restoration work?

I'm at the other end of the spectrum: having recorded the LP, I spend
hours obsessing over cleaning it up, using mainly manual methods. I do
have a wide range of automatic tools, but in most cases they don't get
used.

Interestingly we have very similar setups. You have LP12/Naim
72/Hicap/M-Audio 2496. My setup is LP12/Naim 42.5/Catflap/M-Audio 2496.
(The Catflap is a home-built PSU that replaced a Hicap).
