I've ripped all my CDs (~350) with laptop drives. EAC, Accurate Rip and
dBpoweramp all say they're fine, and I've not found any evidence to the
contrary. Like you, I didn't have a desktop readily available most of
the time. And when I did have one available it was an old one that was
fine for running SC, but rather slow on encoding to FLAC.
