I know how to rip Audio from a DVD (AC3 or DTS) - that's working fine for me.

However, I've just tried to rip the 5.1 DTS from the Genesis album Trespass
(from the Box set 1970-1975).

Initially, I ripped using DVD Decrypter, and ripped all chapters together in
the DTS stream. This worked fine.

Then I thought I'd try ripping each chapter separately, so I'd have a wav file
for each song. Whilst that works, it seems to be chopping the end off some of
the tracks. Also, it doesn't seem possible to automate DVD Decrypter to do
each chapter to a separate file automatically, so it would be a bit of a pain
to do this for larger albums (eg. The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway).

So, now I'm thinking of returning to the rip with all chapters in one file, and
setting up a .CUE file to describe the splits. Would it then be save to load
the .cue/wav into Foobar2000 and split into multiple files?

Anyone done anything like this before?

Oh, and when I convert the wav to flac, the size gets bigger. I'm still
converting to flac, because this will allow me to get tag info into SC, but I
heard that the extra processing on SB's to decode the flac can cause playback
issues, so would I be better to stick to .cue/wav or convert to a different
format?

Phil
