Perhaps different from others? My server.log shows the following error
on each attempt to play an AAC to my old SlimP3:

Slim::Player::Song::open (486) Error: Bad file descriptor: While
creating conversion pipeline

It then lists the path to the audio file, e.g.:

file:///C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/All%20Users/Documents/My%20Music/Avril%20Lavigne/Let%20Go/06%20Unwanted.m4a

with the percent twenty's for spaces.

Interestingly, if I enter that URL into FF, the song plays via the QT
player. So I believe the path to the audio file is good. Must be some
problem with creating one of the conversion processes. Lame is installed
in the c:\Program Files\Slimserver\server\Bin\MS...Win32 folder as
suggested on the wiki.

I also read that AAC support is built-in to 7.3.3, which is what I am
running. It's possible that this problem has existed since that update,
though I can't say for certain. I did have AAC working in the past via
the old method. And note that this is to an old SlimP3, although that
shouldn't matter much, I wouldn't think.

Can someone tell me what this error means?
