I know it's old but my Squeezebox 1 is still providing great service so
if anyone's got an idea what's wrong...
I ripped the audio from a DVD and converted to flac. It played fine on
my SB3 but sounded "slowed down" on the SB1. Checking one of the tracks
(which SqueezeCenter reported accurately as 3 mins 46 secs), I found
that it took 4 mins 4 secs for the SB1 to play it. So I converted the
flac back to wav (using flac.exe on the SqueezeCenter server) and played
the resultant file through Windows Media Player - 3 mins 46 secs.
I'm assuming therefore that there's something wrong with the
transcoding. I use a custom-convert.conf file -
flc wav * *
# FT:{START=--skip=%t}U:{END=--until=%v}
[flac] -dcs --force-raw-format --endian=little --sign=signed
--apply-replaygain-which-is-not-lossless=a $START$ $END$ -- $FILE$
- which I have confirmed is being used for the SB1. Can anyone see
anything wrong with this that is causing the issue? Or suggest any
other troubleshooting I can do?
Thanks for any help,
Chris
