If anyone didn´t notice. Over at hydrogenaudio.org is a thread about '\"lossless codecs and CUDA\"' (http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=64628&hl=) Out of this results an alpha version of an already pretty capable Cuda flac file encoder. One user already mentioned the great theoretical capability to be used on an Ion board that for sure can´t encode well with its Atom processor but most likely fast enough with its Cuda GPU.
So anyone ever wondered how to reencode his flacs with FlaCuda to play around i have an old style suggestion. 'Frontah' (http://home.vxu.se/mdati00/frontah/) can still be used to configure even exotic encoders with its simple ini. It creates a mirror folder while copying all standard Tags + Replaygaininfo over to the new file. Just copy the recent flac, metaflac, FlaCuda and the files i attached to its folder and play around. I know i am old fashioned, bored and still a playkid :) To sad frontah developement stopped that long ago. +-------------------------------------------------------------------+ |Filename: Frontah.zip | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=8114| +-------------------------------------------------------------------+ -- Wombat Transporter -> RG142 -> Avantgarde based monoblocks -> Sommer SPK240 -> self-made speakers ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Wombat's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=4113 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=67874
