Thanks again for your help. I changed some settings in Advanced section regarding logging as you suggested and SC notified me that some files are missing (a Bruce Cockburn album).
I'm running things on an HP MediaSmart server and have received a failing drive notice at least 4 -5 times, ran the repair function and I bet that I lost some data. Obviously, becasue I have the Cockburn CD in hand now that I took it from storage and will rip it again. Meanwhile, I will also remove the bad drive. I have duplication on and have been randomly checking and sure enough - there are a few albums that I don't see in SC.
