you can't just paste a command line into convert.conf like that... it
won't work.

Also, convert.conf entries aren't selective about the rate of the
source files - you can't have a line that ONLY works on files of a
certain rate.

You can have 2 seperate convert.conf entries for your TP; one that is
used for EVERYTHING 96k and below and another for everything ABOVE 96k.
That's the only flexibility you have, without patching SOX or SBS
yourself...

Also, you should be using the flc-flc not flc-pcm...

A basic version of the flc flc * * convert.conf entry (<=96) would be:

# FT:{START=--skip=%t}U:{END=--until=%v}D:{RESAMPLE=-r %d}
        [flac] -dcs $START$ $END$ -- $FILE$ | [sox] -v0.96 -q -t wav - -t flac
-C 0 - rate -v 96k
