Hello and Welcome to the Forum. 

I had the same problem with two EMI CDs. I ripped them with Vortexbox
and it was fine after that, but I think they changed the ripping
software in the current version. Maybe Andrew can chime in and tell us
if the ripper did change and if it did if the new software still
handles these EMI CDs.

NOTE: Vortexbox is not ripping software, it is Music Server Software
that contains SBS, a ripper, Linux OS, and other things. It is for a
dedicated machine as installing it reformats the hard drive.
