Will it overwrite already existing tags if I use this on a file tree
where some music is tagged an some isn't ?
In that case, is there any way to deselect files I've previously tagged
correctly in the selected file tree ?
If this isn't possible this feels like a fairly dangerous operation if
you are scared that it will destroy some correct tags.
It will then really only be useful for users that have never used tags
before or in folder trees totally without tags or with completley
incorrect tags.
I think some kind of preview how it plans to change the tags on each
individual file could be useful with the option to deselect specific
changes you don't want to happen. Maybe together with an option to
select if it should overwrite existing tags or just add new when a
particular tag doesn't exist.
Will this also be able to do the smart detection if I only select a
bottom level folder where the parent folders name specify the artist
name ?
Does it support both these directory structures (deep vs flat) ?
- <artist>/<album>/
- <artist> - <album>/
Will it also be able to set musicbrainz id's so I don't need to use
pickard and similar musicbrainz tools ?
What about folder trees that needs different tag format on different
files ? For example a tree with both mp3 and flac music files.
I'm excited to see that we finally get a good tagging tool that
supports linux, great work.
