Agree. And if you convert the FLAC files to mp3 with Lame, these will
play gapless too on most modern players (iphones, ipods, etc.). I have
many, many live concert recordings (gotta love archive.org) that are in
either FLAC or mp3 format (separate tracks) and all play gapless on
ipods, foobar2000, itunes, squeezebox, etc.

One thing to be aware of is whether your player is using replaygain. If
the tracks are being played with the track gain value, you'll hear a
slight "something" at track change because there is a volume change. If
you are using album gain values, this shouldn't happen.  If you are
playing on an ipod/iphone, you have to be careful because ITUNES only
has track level gain (they call it soundcheck). So you'd want your
soundcheck/volume adjustment setting to OFF when playing a live album. 
Or do what I do, and use mp3tag to create soundcheck values from ALBUM
Replaygain values.
