I have my flac/mp3 ordered like you're trying to. My album and year tags are seperate, so each album has a title and a year (actually these are at the track level). On th Ui you never see the year, but the albums are sorted within artist chronologically. There's an option in the server settings to choose exactly this sorting. Somebdy smarter than me may be able to help you with an mp3tag macro to extract the year from the ALBUM tag and make a YEAR tag from it. Try it on a single artist first. Mark.
