I had never used the music folder. Using that allowed me to add the files I wanted.
Still a bit strange; the squeezebox will display the title, artist etc just as I typed the info in itunes, but the search function in squeezeserver will still not find the track. I am good, I was able to add what I wanted to the playlist, and it displays properly on the squeezebox.
