A-ha! - so you are seeing a "-10dB" in the file tags... this simply
means they have had ReplayGain or other volume tag applied to them
either during or after ripping.
Are these files you have ripped yourself?

This "-10dB" tag is NOT being applied to your playback... UNLESS you
enable volume adjustment in the player settings.

What is your server platform? - do you have a tag editor such as
MP3Tag?
