For most rips dBpoweramp should be faster than EAC. That's because dBpa
can be set to do one pass, then check the results against AccurateRip,
and if AccurateRip matches, just stop there. It only has to do a 2nd or
subsequent pass if the CD isn't in the AccurateRip database, or if your
rip doesn't match any in the AccurateRip database.

As for dBpa tutorials I'm not sure what's out there. It seemed pretty
straightforward to me, but you should at least check out
