the only problem with that is how utterly unreasonable it is.

perhaps you think logitech should put "windows users: only buy this if
you use EAC or dbpoweramp to rip" on the box?

or only use if you tag the way we want you to, not the way standard
mainstream apps and tag sources do?

come on.

anyway, its clear from things like itunes integration, logitech doesn't
agree.  they want their product to worl well with the masses, (unwashed,
swarthy barbarians though we well may be)

again, i said there is nothing wrong with a SBS centric approach by a
user, but to say that development and the app should be SBS centric is
the quickest way to making the app irrelevant and fail.

as to the issue in the thread:

if one has an albumartist tag, that will ALWAYS keep the album from
being classified a comp by SBS.  the only way to over-ride an AA tag,
is to add a comp=1 tag.

a comp=0 tag should absolutely NOT be necessary if an AA tag is
present.
