I think you can only get SBS to treat them the same if you go back to an earlier version of SBS, say, 7.5.x or earlier. SBS 7.6.x introduced stricter case-sensitivity in handling of tags/metadata. Of course, the preferred solution is to correct your tags and be done with it.
