I'm only able to open multiple folders in Mp3tag if I drag them in one
operation. If I have some files already loaded and drag a new folder
into Mp3tag then it replaces the files.

You don't have to use drag-and-drop. You can also select the folders
and then use the Windows Explorer context (right-click) menu and select
Mp3tag.

But one thing I can't understand: I don't see how to select multiple
folders in Windows Explorer unless they have the same parent folder. So
if you have your library organized /artist/album/track, you couldn't
select /Artist1/Album3 and /Artist2/Album1. You _could_ select multiple
albums from a single artist, or multiple artists (loading all albums),
but that's it.
