Check the extended tags and double check that there are not any trailing blank spaces in any of the tags. Also make sure that there is only one kind of tag, so no old id3v1 for MP3 tags or if FLAC nothing but ape tags. Plus the easiest way to make sure everything is identical in MP3 tag is to highlight all the files you want with the new info and change them all at once.
