In Mp3Tag Tools > Options > General > Subdirectories (make sure this is ticked) Change Direcory to a 'head' folder that contains all your tracks, or at least a large chunk of them. Select all (CTRL-A) Right Click > Extended Tags... > delete cover art repeat as necessary voila!
