I would say that there is nothing wrong with EAC from circa 2007. But
the quality of the rips depends not only on the media, but also on the
EAC configuration. For example, did you have AccurateRip installed (at
that time I think it required separately dropping a dll file in the EAC
folder), was the drive offset set properly, etc.
