Hi. I've been playing with the different stream types to find out what is playing best.
The nb in Switzerland typically prefers AAC over MP3 (as do I) but I found out that the SBC cannot play that. The URL is http://opml.radiotime.com/Tune.ashx?id=s17465&formats=aac,ogg,mp3,wma,wmvoice&partnerId=16&serial=1781796719dcf018c4cd34a01374f3a6. This track plays fine on VLC. The codec used, according to VLC is MPEG AAC Audio (mp4a). When I attempt to play this on mysqueezebox.com It get a "Unable to play file type for" error. If I take out the aac, the stations plays fine and according to the More info as MP3. If I attempt to play http://opml.radiotime.com/Tune.ashx?id=s24862&formats=ogg&partnerId=16&serial=1781796719dcf018c4cd34a01374f3a6 I get a voice message stating that "This stream is not compatible with this player". If I change to connect to my LMS instead I get no message when playing the AAC stream but I don't hear anyhting either. But converts for mp4, aac, and ogg all exist in convert.conf. Only if I take out the aac, the station is played correctly. PS. For some reason I believed that the SB devices natively play AAC but according to http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.php/HardwareComparison they don't. That would be nice wouldn't it? ------------------------------------------------------------------------ th00ht's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=15656 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=96628 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/ripping
