It sounds as if you are searching with the artist field. You could use the artist field and name official releases for example "The Band" for the album Music From Big Pink. Then name bootlegs "The Band bootlegs" for The Lonestar Cafe 1986 for that show. In this way they will show as a separate artist but shouls appear next to each other in the artist listing. Otherwise I believe LMS will sort them alphabetically by album. It's not totally what you want but may be the best way to get close.
