For years I've used the ARTIST tag to capture information about the ensemble, typically of the form Soloist/Orchestra/Conductor. This has worked well, but sometimes causes problems with phone apps which don't display the information I'd prefer to see. I'm thinking of adding a BAND tag and populating it with the information now stored in ARTIST. I'd then fill ARTIST with COMPOSER.
The tags in my Classical files would look like this: [image: https://i.imgur.com/0WlX9rm.jpg] I've tested it and it seems to work well. Can you think of any disadvantage to this new tag structure?
