One is not required to have a CD for every digital file. Digital files are also made available for purchase directly (see, for example, HDTracks, Bandcamp, Amazon, Dead.net, etc., etc.) And some are available legally for free (see Archive.org). And while I'm wearing my "school marm" wig, I'd also say that stealing music is -not- trivial. It is stealing from the musicians we all benefit from.
