IIRC Order of codecs in conf or player response is not significant. For a given audio source format LMS will chose native decode first (i.e no transcoding). Then lossless compressed transcode (i.e. Flac) - transcode to flac will be used if audio code nbot suport or audio format needs to be changed (e.g. bitrate resampling).
