 If the system is doing its job.....
 If it ain't broke, why fix it ?

 Further, NEVER do something like that on a production machine
 without having first thoroughly tested it off-line.

 Remember, *nix is not Microsoft.
 *nix doesn't need to push "updates" to maintain their revenue stream.

 Unless there is a very compelling reason ( such as software that absolutely
 can not run on an ancient system ) to "update" it's ill advised in nearly
 all cases.
