I'm building Rivendell 2.0.2 under Debian 6.0. I've compiled the software
successfully, installed it, and now I'm trying to test it.

I open an xterm window and enter the command:

rdimport --to-cart=999998 TEST DYL01-01.wav

It spews out a whole mess of gibberish, most of which darts across the
screen faster than I can read it. It seems to be binary data.

So I try: rdimport --to-cart=999998 TEST DYL01-01.wav > a

And I look at the gibberish using hexdump, thinking it might be audio. But
it looks like code. So, I do this:

chmod 755 a
./a

...and it executes(!), and displays:

Content-type: text/html
Status: 500

<html>
<head>
<title>CGI Internal Error 500</title>
</head>
<h1>Oops!</h1><br>
We seem to have encountered a problem! The system says: <br>
<pre>500<br>Unable to set Rivendell group</pre><br>
</body>

Now, have any of y'all seen anything like this?

I imagine I've missed a step in the install process. I'll go back over it
again and see what I might have done wrong.
