This might be a possible use of the Aux 1 or Aux 2 logs in rdairplay.

I have a situation in my station where I have a macro called Play Top
30. The macro has 4 lines.
1. LL 2 Top30 0! <-- Load Log on Aux 1 log called Top 30
2. PS 1! <-- Player Stop rdairplay on main log only
3. PN 2! <-- Play Now Aux 1 Log
4. LB Top 30 Playing on Aux Log1! <-- Display a panel label on main
rdairplay to inform on air staff what is happening.

This macro gets placed in my main log every week at a particular time
followed by a 3 second blank track, that plays silently while the main
log stops.

At the end of the top 30 log playing is another Macro called resume
playlist. It has 2 lines.
1. PN 1! <-- Start Main log resuming playing next from where it
was stopped.
2. LB Station Name! <-- Display My station name in panel.

Both Main and Aux1 log playout to the same sound card so the
transition is seamless.
I hope that helps you.
