Thanks Scott for the feedback.

As far as audio trbls are concerned I have noticed Linux audio set ups are far more complicated than many other types of OS's myself; mostly because of the pulse/alsa/jack inter-relationships or lack thereof.

It would indeed be nice to just assign the basic onboard audio card to system alarms and pulseaudio by default and then be able to customize an additional two or three soundcards in /*a simple way*/ (user friendly gui) to work with individual apps and alsa/jack solely with no interactions or other hiccups.

RD is just one example of a useful application where it would simplify things; I have read through the musicians' forums as well and they too have found audio and sound card set ups a real problem, especially when they want to use jack audio along with multiple editors and /or synthesizers.

Hi Andy,

I compiled Rivendell 2.0.? on Linux Mint several months ago, and it
seems like it was the same as compiling it on Ubuntu. But then I had
some audio issue with it and finally gave up and went back to Ubuntu.
I usually save my bash_history so I can look and see if I have it from
that install.
