Thanx Guy, James.

It all started when I installed Jack 2 over Jack, it asked me if I wanted
to overwrite a conf file and I said yes, should have backed up my old
file first. So I completely removed jack 2 through synaptic and reinstalled
jack and things are back to normal. Maybe I'll install Jack 2 again but this
time say no to overwriting the conf file and see what happens (gotta learn
somehow).

Subject: [RDD] help I broke jack

Two things i might look into:

Has pulse audio started back up? I had alot of problems between pulse and jack

The socket your trying to access may have changed numbers.

Honestly dont know but trying to help with trouble shooting
