Did you have time to look into this ? I'm afraid the ffmpeg solution is
not good. For now, I have tested only the conversion, not tried to
replace an existing Rivendell "/var/snd" raw file with an mp2 encoded one.
But doing a hexdump on an ffmpeg generated file, it does not look like a
"Rivendell MP2" file... so I did not try to load it into the system.
Maybe, instead of hardcoding a software that could do the conversion,
you could just give us the commands that we could use, using common free
software, and according to Rivendell's file specifications ?
