The only purge options I can see for logs are purge logs after xx days
and purge ELR data after xx days via RDAdmin-->Manage Users---> xx Edit.
But that's in 1.7.2.
RDLogManager even in 1.7.2 just has Purge Data for Reports.

don't know about v1.6.0, but newer versions have a purge old logs

you are looking for, but it's there.

*Subject:* [RDD] rdlogmanager - slow log-generation
Hi,
we are still using Rivendell v1.6.0 at our german campus radio station
because it runs perfectly. But after almost two years of stable
operation rdlogmanager started to get very slow. Generation of a log
would take up to almost an hour.
After reading mysql-slow.log I found out that the <servicename>_STACK
table which is somehow used for log-generation had grown to a table of
ca. 200 000 rows and was therefore causing the delay. After dropping
this table rdlogmanager went through log-generation as fast as usual.
Is this a bug? Or did I miss to check some kind of "purge temporary log
data" option somewhere in RDAdmin?
I couldn't find anything about this issue in the most recent Changelog
so it may also exist in later versions of Rivendell.
Regards,
Boris
