Hello Everyone, Its been a long time since I had a problem so I am hoping this is an easy fix.
I have been using 1.7 for some time but I decided yesterday to start testing the latest 2.x edition from the site. I installed Rivendell from source on Ubuntu Studio 10.4 using jack. I have been able to get sound out with the test tone and no errors were apparent. However, I went to rip a cd into the system and this is where I have my problem. The system shows that the ripping process completed however the entry in rdlibrary is red with no time. This also occurs with importing music from an mp3. I was thinking that this was a permissions problem I have checked permissions on the /var/snd folder and it is 775. The audioowner and group were double checked. I also checked permissions on rdxport.cgi and it is also set to 775. It seems that rdlibrary believes that the import or cut is being made but no sound file is actually created. Thoughts anyone? What other permissions may be missing or did I miss a step with the new software.
