A rather BIG BUG for us regarding Rivendell 1.7.x and 2.1.x is rdimport and its "feature" of deleting whole carts if interrupted. Run rdimport from the command line with the --to-cart set for a cart full of cuts and then kill the process and that whole cart and all of its cuts will be deleted! This happens from the command line and from dropboxes setup in rdadmin. It is a big problem if a machine needs to be rebooted while rdimport is running!
We have carts with dozens and some even with hundreds of cuts that we have dropboxes setup for adding content from podcasts. Seems like a great idea, except when that cart of a few hundred cuts goes missing. Really bad when you have about three dozen dropboxes running, too! And running rdadmin and adding a new dropbox appears to interrupt rdimport - which then deletes a bunch of carts again. I'm to the point of writing my own bash script that will replace "rdimport" with as much a I need, as I just don't have the time to go through the Rivendell source code to find the fix there.
