I've found the GUI to be the easiest general purpose way of importing  
however I used the command line extensively when using a program to export  
 from an old play out system into Rivendell as the GUI doesn't expose as  
many options if I remember correctly.

I do advise adding a log file location into the GUI though, it helps if  
things go wrong (which is usually when you have a borked audio file).
