Good morning all!
Hope you're doing well. Not to bring up an old subject, but I am
currently trying to get the latest RD running on a PowerMac G5 running
Ubuntu. Rivendell compiled without a hitch, and the apps seems to be
running well, but while I'm trying to get my audio device to work, I'm
noticing the waveforms on things that I'm importing all appear to be wrong.
They look like there was just one loud noise from the beginning untli the
end of the track.
Back in the day, when we got Rivendell running on some old Mac G4's, I
remember having a problem of endianness, since the PowerPC processor is
different from an x86 processor. At some point something was added to the
RD1 release that fixed that for us, and we ran on the G4's for a few years
after. Do you know if that compatibility with big\little endian is still
there?
Thanks,
Brooks
