No. The wiki article is correct. If the configured rivendell user and group aren't working, then you likely have some sort of permissions problem with '/var/snd'. Setting 'rdxport.cgi' to run SETUID root is merely masking that underlying problem (not to mention being a *really* bad idea from a security POV).
