Hello, i'm currently in the process of polishing of a rivendell 1.7.2 install due to go on air when ready. Most of my troubles in the past have been resolved by reading this list, but this time i can't find a proper answer nor figure it by myself, therefore this message.
What i want to achieve is this use case: - RDAirplay is playing today's log (main log) - at 6pm, someone goes into the studio and has to start one's transmission. - one clicks on a panel button with one's transmission name on it in RDAirplay - this button trigs a macro cart that takes care of: a1/fading out main log a2/starting the recording for the podcasts a3/playing a station id - at the end of the transmission, the presenter has just to click another panel button (labeled End of Transmission), that should take care of: b1/ stopping the podcast record b2/ putting the main log back on air I'm having trouble figuring how to get a nice transition on this latter step (b2), especially when there is a pre-recorded show afterwards. What i need is that, if this live transmission ends a little late, say on 7:03pm; then the timed event pre-recorded show scheduled to fire at 7:00pm stands waiting for the presenter to click the 'end of transmission' panel button before it starts. Maybe i'm missing something obvious but i can't find a way to do this. The pre-recorded show at 7pm must be able to be played even without human action (eg. if the presenter doesn't show up at 6pm). Has anyone on this list met the same situation? What solutions did you use? I hope this post is not too confusing and apologize for my possibly unclear english. .
