OK. So the gentleman who is helping me is finding it difficult to set up
Rivendell in the way that I am looking for.
First of all, I should ask if it is possible. I want to have the main log
playout switch between different faders on the board. My soundcard has 10
outputs. I want to use channels 1-6 for main player and channel 7 and 8 for
sound panel, voicetracking and log editing. I will use the computers on board
soundcard for previewing.
What we are having issues with is routing the sound in this way. Is there
anyone who could assist with this, either with instructions or with remote
assistance?
I would like to have rivendell up and running soon as I am on vacation this
week and it gives me plenty of time to play around freely.
Any assistance would be great.

Ubuntu Studio 11.04
M-Audio Delta 1010 lt soundcard
4gigs RAM
