However, nmap doesn't appear to be installed on the Rivendell Broadcast Appliance (RBA). To see what services are running on the RBA use the GUI to access System -> Services.

su to root, create another user with admin privs' then log in using 2nd x session and ALT-F7 and ALT-F8 between them, then use ur new admin user to add/run whatever you need and shudn't upset Rd autoload user setups etc.
