To use IRC, go to wiki http://rivendell.tryphon.org/wiki/IRC and click on the #Rivendell link.
With any luck you should be asked to sign in. Choose any name you like. After signing in just ask for help. I'm there as Sharkie at the moment. I suspect that you can't just upgrade RRAbuntu to Rivendell 2, as the permissions have changed.
