Yes, Apache is now (2.x and greater) required on at least one system in
a Rivendell installation for importing carts. You can delegate other
machines to use another computer's Apache server to import via.
You'll need to install Apache and copy the Rivendell configuration file
from the example to your apache enabled sites folder, setting the
libexec path as appropriate in that file if you didn't set it on
./configure.

and didnt have any problems. When Rivendell was upgraded to version
2.x did Apache take a role in importing data to carts? I installed
