Two things, yes have a look at your sound cards as i have experienced the same thing and it's rather frustrating! to work out what the issue is. You just have to open rdalsaconfig to make sure they are showing correctly and then reboot the system then set the correct cards in rdadmin->manage host-> rd host -> rdairplay.
Secondly I have managed to get rdairplay to automatically open up and load the correct log on reboot or powerfailure. Is it possible to 1. have the log open up at the point it left off ie if the last event played was at say 11.23am and the system shut off is it possible to have RDairplay load up, open the log and then go to that point and 2 automatically start playing again without manual intervention?
