I just saw Ubuntu -- not RRAUbuntu, or anything like that.
My Rivendell systems are built on Ubuntu 10.04, and have no problems
with VNC at all.
I do have to check the preferences and make sure that all visual-effects
are disabled though.
(System-->Preferences-->Appearance-->[Visual Effects Tab].
By default, I believe some of these are enabled on an Ubuntu install.
