Hi Fred, Thanks for the link to the PDF re: bext chunks. Very similar I think to how Simian does their tagging stuff.
I've played around heaps with flac in the past few days but I've come to the conclusion I'm better off still using WavPack, which I haven't used in a while, but I dragged it back out today. It runs on Linux and Windows and I can re-compress over and over and the "levl" info is still saved there under the bext chunk. That way I can just dump audio back in to /var/snd without having to re-import. I was hoping to do that with flac since it's more common but doesn't look like it, at least not with the 1.2.1b Windows version. BTW, does the latest Rivendell allow generating reports by scheduler code in RDLibrary rather than just group?
