My buddy has asked me to build a new Linux box for him with the latest version of Rivendale installed. Got that, now reading thru the docs it looks like the database layout has changed from prior versions (he is running on 1.4 Unbuntu).
Is there a good way to take his current database and import it into the latest version ? In looking at a backup.sql script, it looks like it would create all new database tables which would not be compatible with the new version. Has someone built a migration script of some kind to do this ? Once the database is moved, I assume we can just copy the current carts from the old machine to the new machine without any issues ? My plan is once everything is moved, run the new system in parallel with the old system and if all goes well cut over the audio to the new system and turn off the old hardware.
